Michael Kors has always been one of my favorite designers to follow and I was ecstatic to see his spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The floral pattern has always been around, but Kors took it to a whole new level with giant flowers. They were on dresses, skirts, tops and two-piece sets. He stuck with neutral colors with pops of bright yellow, pink and blue. This collection definitely made my obsession with floral patterns worse.
Another trend that stuck out in the collection, were the two-piece sets. Not only are they super chic, but they can be kept together or mixed apart. That gives you so many options to work with when styling the pieces. That’s why I was so excited when I purchased my floral set! It reminded me so much of Kors’ collection, I had to get it. The skirt in this set is shorter than those shown, but that is the length that works for me. Having the skirt a couple inches above my knee shows off more of my legs. The crop top is fitted and crosses in the back.
What really caught my attention to the set was the bright blue, white and pink of the floral pattern. It was loud, but still wearable. The mixture of big flowers and small flowers also stood out against the blue and white in the background. To keep the girly vibe of the set, I paired it with my nude close-toed heels. The straps that cross in the front also add a little edge to balance the outfit out.
You can never go wrong with florals, crop tops or skirts, so why not put them all together for one trendy look! If florals are not your thing, two-piece sets come in a variety of colors and patterns as shown in Kors’ collection as well.
