While floral patterns and stripes have always been in for the springtime, the alice + olivia spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection incorporated these classic prints and colors with a ’70s twist.
I am absolutely obsessed with the alice + olivia collection, as usual. The colors from this collection perfectly embody spring, as do the fun floral prints and stripes. The embellishments on the pieces are so posh and eye-catching. The collection has such a variety of pieces from crop tops to wide-leg trousers, to elegant ball gowns. The embellished collarless jackets were a key standout piece. I was immediately drawn to this collection as an avid lover of alice + olivia; however, the meticulous detail within the items in this collection won my heart.
Besides the beautiful embellishments on the pieces, I was drawn to the cobalt blue and white items. I also loved how the collection featured a few two-piece sets because they are so popular right now. To translate this collection to every day wear, I drew my inspiration from the cobalt blue and white. The collection also featured many fun statement prints that I loved.
For me, this two-piece set was a perfect representation of the spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The loud print is not overwhelming, but is definitely the focus of the piece. In addition, the cobalt blue and white colors are featured so much in Stacey Bendet’s collection. This inspired look is perfect for summer with the blue and white, and trendy two-piece style!
