This week, I spotted a Fashionista wearing a casual day look with delicate details. She had on a classic pair of dark wash denim cutoffs from American Eagle, a thrifted knit top, a pair of heather gray Keds, a ladybug necklace from Etsy and a leather backpack from Jack Georges.
The subtle details of this look really drove it home for me. I am a sucker for all things turquoise, so when I saw her tiny blue necklace, I fell in love. With a closer look, I noticed the hand-made gem was actually an itty-bitty ladybug with gold details. The insect inspired jewelry is dainty enough to pair with any look, but also gives a burst of personality.
Her cream crop top was anything but blasé. Originally from Dalton, this Fashionista snagged the piece from Goodwill. The top hits just below the belly button, perfect for pairing with high waisted shorts (which are no doubt, a summer staple). The high neckline and scalloped detailing give it an antique, sophisticated feel.
To pull her look together she has on a pair of Keds, which are ideal for gallivanting around the city or long walks by the Mississippi. Her leather mini backpack is bound to be the new “it” bag for summer. It is not only hands-free, but also ideal for heading from class to exploring with friends.
