One of the most difficult parts of being a Fashionista stuck in the bright and sunny Sunshine State is the fact that jeans become a rather obsolete item in my summer wardrobe. With daily temperatures reaching the upper 90s, the last thing I want to be wearing is heavy denim. That was until I found the perfect pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. Distressed denim is always a better denim option in the summer months because of all the rips and tears. When you pair that with a loose boyfriend fit, you’ve got yourself a perfect pair of jeans no matter the weather.
For this look, I was loosely inspired by this loose-fitting denim look from MM6 Maison Margiela’s spron 2015 ready-to-wear collection. I have on my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans from American Eagle Outfitters. The loose fit, light wash and distressed look make them a must-have for the summer. On top, I have on a high neckline tank top that I absolutely love. Paired underneath is my wardrobe staple black bralette, I love how you can see the lace peaking out from behind my top (plus it adds a girly vibe to the look).
For this look, I used accessories to add a bit of personality. I have on one of my favorite statement necklaces, I’ve had this baby for years and it continuously helps me spice up my looks. I kept with the silver metal with an array of dainty bracelets on my wrist. For my bag, I went with a black and silver fringe bucket bag. This bag has been my go-to this summer! I kept my footwear on the comfortable side with a pair of matte black Birkenstock sandals, if you haven’t jumped on this bandwagon yet, I encourage you to do so. To top off the look, I have on a black wide-brimmed hat, definitely a summer must-have!
