One of the best things about summer is the natural beauty that tends to accompany the season. Sun-kissed skin and beachy hair can make any girl feel like a California surfer chick. So why not embrace what summer gave you? Long beachy ponies are a perk of summer we just couldn’t live without.
This Fashionista shows us how to rock the summer pony. She goes from a day at the beach to an evening out just by pulling her beachy locks into a voluminous ponytail. There are plenty of things we hate about salt water, from the way it burns our eyes to the way it dries out our skin. But salt water redeems itself by leaving our hair in loose waves after a day at the beach.
This leaves us with a prime ingredient for a pretty ponytail. This Fashionista takes her pony up a notch by adding a simple side braid into the pony. You can copy this look by braiding your bangs a few times and then pulling them back into your ponytail. Or if you want to go for a more dramatic look, you can french braid your hair into the pony.
This Fashionista pairs her long ponytail with a loose blouse which helps give her outfit a relaxed feel. By combining her outfit with a pair of wedges, she dresses it up a bit. You can pair your beachy pony with a combination of outfits from rompers to shorts and a tank top. This hairdo goes with pretty much everything.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Make sure to spray your ponytail with hairspray to help keep it tame once you leave the beach. And if I have any big flyaways, make sure to pin them back with bobby pins or clips to help keep them in place.”
