Jumpsuits or playsuits? Call them whatever you want, but they’re the new boss-lady outfit next to the powersuit! You know it’s hot when Dior, Emilio Pucci and Ralph Lauren are all showing jumpsuits on their runways! With that in mind, I HAD to pull this Fashionista aside as soon as I caught her in the trendy number that reminded me of the cutout jumpsuit look that Emilio Pucci showed for his spring/summer 2015 collection. This Fashionista’s look was different though, as it was a more conservative, tailored to fit look. Although the material of this garment wouldn’t be classified as haute couture per say, it’s a more affordable mimic of the look on a college budget.
Who wouldn’t want this look, as it elongates one’s silhouette (I’m talking about the legs, people!) and even has a flattering cutout detail that accentuates the waist for a summery, resort look vibe? This trend is a practical look for any occasion and can be dressed up or down by the shoes and accessories one decides to pair it with. Wear a jumpsuit with sandals for a casual look like this Fashionista did or pair it with some wedges for a dressier look. I call it “The Easy as 1,2,3 Look” because it really is an all-in-one outfit and with a few added details of one’s own, it is instantly personalized to reflect one’s unique style. Because in the end, that’s all a person could really ask for right—to be effortlessly chic and unique?
