With the NBA final championship game over and the Golden State Warriors bring home the title, this Fashionisto was more than thrilled. I caught him walking around downtown Portland, while he was hanging out with his friends to go shoot some hoops.
This Fashionisto’s outfit was clearly inspired by his love for basketball. The Fashionisto was dressed sporty and casual on a perfect summer day. He sported a dark gray Portland Trail Blazer T-shirt, khaki shorts and white adidas socks. He later expressed how his basketball shoes were his favorite part about his outfit. Basketball shoes are a multipurpose footwear. While the main purpose is to wear the shoes while playing basketball, this Fashionisto also wears them around his house, hanging out with his friends or going for a run. Basketball shoes are really popular around teenagers and are very trendy item to have. From Nikes to “J’s on my feet,” this Fashionisto knows how to rock casual athletic wear.
The Fashionisto also expressed how important and special his shoes were to him stating that, “these shoes are the shoes that Damien Lillard made for when he made the 2015 Sll-Star Game.” As any basketball fan would know, Damien Lillard, a professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers, was the 2012 rookie of the year in the NBA. He is a celebrity and trendsetter in his own right and inspires this Fashionisto to dress and play his best. Being the Fashionisto’s favorite basketball player, he had to have these shoes.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Always dress for comfort and ease. My personal style has to do with the Portland Trail Blazer gear and basketball. I grew up watching basketball, so that has a big influence on my style. I usually wear a Blazer T-shirt, basketball shorts, Adidas socks and Adidas shoes.”
