Bohemian style is just another example of fashion resurrecting itself. It has been on the rise for several years now, constantly changing and adapting to the wants and wishes of Fashionistas.
The versatility of boho fashion is seen in the Chloé spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. Put together by Clare Waight Keller, the line brought a new sense of femininity and even elegance to what has previously been perceived as a “hippy-ish” style. Delicate straps, lace patterns and cutouts in strategic areas create a carefree yet bold look. The strappy gladiator sandals that were paired with nearly all of the outfits added a sense of toughness to the collection.
Turning this into a street style look, I decided to go for a slightly more casual color than we saw on the runway. While there is no denying that the white seen throughout the Chloé collection makes a bold statement, I love colors that can carry me from summer well into fall. However, in keeping with the feminine touch of the runway collection, my copper Free People dress still has an intricate crochet lining on the front and thin straps connecting the front to the bottom of the backless dress.
To pay homage to the vintage inspiration of this outfit, I added some antique looking bronze jewelry while still keeping it subtle enough to make the dress the main attraction. Adding a bit of color, I completed the look with a pair of Sole Society heels that echo the lace-up gladiator sandals from the Chloé collection, all while making my outfit slightly more girly. After all, it is summer, so let your fashion be as carefree and bubbly as you are!
