Becoming more and more of a trend in the industry and my closet, trading those toe crunching heels in for sneakers is the way to go. This is my go to combination for work when I am looking to be a bit more casual, or when I want to give my feet a breather from heels mid-day.
Looking back on the Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2014 ready-to-wear show, I took inspiration from the luxe, bold dresses and sneaker combinations that came down the runway. The white sneaker let the clothing do the talking and gave the whole collection a laid back day in the city vibe.
Sneakers can give a dress, and you, a whole new personality. White can make it a little more high fashion while colorful styles add a fun element. Just make sure you aren’t clashing too many colors and patterns together because you will lose the over effect of the look! Less is more when it comes to these shoes.
For my look, I grabbed this dress from H&M to go with my white sneakers. To keep with the simplicity, I added a few Alex and Ani bracelets for a tiny bit of sparkle. Sunnies are also a must have accessory for me in the summer, with aviators like these being my style of choice. I believe everyone needs to invest in a good pair of sunglasses, and once you do, they will last you years.
These pieces come together to create a look that is casual, comfy, and style savvy all in one.
