Every body who has lived or even just passed through Texas during the summertime is very aware of its unforgiving heat. But nothing is more unforgiving than the blazing temperatures felt in the deserts of El Paso. This leaves Fashionistas and Fashionistos alike conflicted about what to wear. Nothing is worse than trying to figure out how to dress in a fashion that keeps you fashionable but comfortable, as well as cool from the sun’s burning rays. Couple fashion decisions with the fact that you have to walk through UTEP’s vast campus (and heat) all day and a girl can only be left with one question: what in the world do I wear?
While many opt for Nike shorts and oversized T-shirts, this Fashionista has managed to create the perfect class time combination. Her graphic print tank top allows what little breeze we get in the desert to cool off her skin. The tank also serves to add a splash of color to her otherwise neutral-colored fit. Instead of opting for the regular denim, This Fashionista paired her tank top with dark wash denim jeans. My favorite part about her jeans are the cutouts in the knee that add a twist to the otherwise blasé piece. She completed her class-ready fit with black tennis shoes and a white baseball cap—the perfect accessory to shield your eyes and face from the shining sun.
One of my favorite parts of this Fashionista’s ensemble is her black leather backpack. It ties her entire look together and agrees with the neutral theme of her fit. Besides, we all know that black goes with any and everything in your closet. This Fashionista is clearly ready to conquer the streets and the textbooks!
One Simple Change:Â Are you getting out of class late and ready to head out for a few drinks? Switch out the tennis shoes for neutral-colored pumps and you’ve taken your daytime look to a look that is fashion ready to conquer the night!
