The first things that come to mind when someone murmurs the word summer is: hot, humid and sticky. We all look forward to this time because it normally means a break from school and fun clothes, but it comes with some negatives. You look at your phone every morning and immediately click the weather app because lets be real, your outfit definitely revolves around how hot it is going to be out. On a 90-degree day, the only thing I want to be wearing a face clear of makeup and the lightest thing possible. This Fashionista knew exactly what to wear on one of the hottest days of the summer!
When I caught up with this Fashionista before she was heading out to grab with lunch with some of her friends, she explained to me that her biggest fear is being too plain. In the summer, she even believes that it is a bit hot to wear chunky jewelry and that it adds to her heat flashes; therefore, in order to compensate for it, she decided to add a pop of color on her lips, which distracts from the lack of detail in her outfit. On top of just adding a pop of color, she also curled her hair; her thoughts on curling her hair was that as long as your hair is done and you have lip color, people think you have a polished outfit on.
With a T-shirt dress, booties, her hair done and a pop of color, does it get any easier? This Fashionista pulled off one the best summer looks with such ease. There will be no fear of makeup sweating down anyone’s face, and even curled hair looks great pulled up if it gets too hot. This look is a go- to!
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? This Fashionista happens to be wearing the lip shade “GOOD TASTE” by MAC cosmetics; this is a mineral rich lipstick that last for days worth of talking. She used a Sultra Bombshell curling iron that was three-quarters of an inch thick. Each of these is worth the buy because they can be used with a wide variety of outfits.
