Being someone who would love to throw on a black and white outfit every day for the rest of her life, I was thrilled to see Acne Studios runway looks and their overall lack of color. Within the collection, the fashion powerhouse showcased a clear sense of organization, adding statement prints to catch the eye and simple silhouettes to blend the look together. The aspect that really caught my attention was the pop of pink found throughout many of the looks in this resort 2016 collection.
To begin my recreation of this look, I turned to a bold trend every Fashionista has been rocking this summer: printed pants. I love these pants for summer because they are two things everyone wants while gallivanting under the sun: eye-catching and absolutely effortless. Printed pants are more fun (and, to be honest, more comfortable) than jeans and have the ability to elevate any look one pleases. These pants are as simple as throwing on a sundress, but appear as though you worked for hours to achieve your look. You can wear these pants almost anywhere, and that’s what makes them so great.
The hints of pink found throughout the Acne Studios show is what made me want to focus on this trend. Keeping my outfit completely black and white (as usual), I wanted my purse to be the center of attention. The pinky-coral hues are perfect for a day outside and the gold hardware adds structure to the purse. The pairing of patterns and a bold cross-body bag makes this ensemble summer-friendly, easy to recreate and incredibly organized!
