As I step into my overalls, I can’t help but to feel like a large child. Don’t get me wrong—I look like a trendy large child but nevertheless, a child. There is a way to eliminate the childlike aura and still get that overalls effect. The answer is a pinafore dress. With a pinafore you still get the over-the-shoulder straps and an awesome chest pocket, but this time you’re wearing a dress. Pinafore dresses add a touch of femininity to the overalls trend and are becoming quite popular on the fashion scene.
This Fashionista got the memo. The highlight of her outfit is a denim pinafore dress. The piece is great look for the summer. The light wash denim is the perfect color for a mid-summer excursion. Underneath her dress, she wore a slouchy sweater. The deep cut in the neck and the slight off-the-shoulder detail add dimension and leave room for a necklace to shine. Around her neck she wore a dainty necklace with a star charm. Delicate necklaces and chokers have been making quite the commotion in the past year. Though small, they leave a precious mark on a look. Lastly, on her feet she wore a a pair of brown wrap sandals. They are subtle and don’t take away from the highlight of her look, the pinafore dress.
