Lace has been a popular trend for quite some time, however this summer lace has been popping up everywhere and on everything. While lace is typically a very delicate and traditionally girly feature; the latest trend for lace is layering it with bohemian-style pieces to add some texture and funk to a look.
Here, our Fashionista shows off her beautiful indigo and plum patterned romper which features a cool lace trimming on the legs and neck. The plunging neckline of the romper is accented with small lace poms, while the lace trimming the legs of the romper steal the show. The thickness of the bands of lace trim add tons of cool texture to this piece and give it a cool, layered look which adds even more to the boho-vibe of this ensemble. The great thing about rompers is that they are so on trend right now that they can be found at almost any store, our Fashionista found hers at a local boutique, but this cool lace romper with similar details gives off a very similar look. Our Fashionista threw on an off-white kimono-style cardigan over her romper, which keeps the look more wearable and casual. Kimonos are everywhere this season in tons of funky patterns and fabrics, so this one is a great way to incorporate the trend in a more subtle way. The lace trimming on the kimono incorporates the lace trend and adds even more fun texture and bohemian flare to the look. As for accessories, our Fashionista kept the jewelry very understated with a couple gold bangles, a leather bracelet and a minimal gold necklace that features a beautiful violet stone. She finished off her look with some simple wood wedges that complement this beautifully boho look.
