You probably heard different variations of the acronym K.I.S.S. while you were in middle and elementary school. Keep it short and simple or keep it simple, stupid; whatever the case may be, you can apply the same principle in how you wear your clothes, especially in the summer.
As the weather gets hotter, the amount of clothes on our bodies tend to get more and more minimal. Let’s face it: it’s hot and the less clothes the better but you also have to go out in public. As I’ve said before, effortless fashion is the way to go in the summer. This Fashionista has got it all right when it comes to keeping it sweet and simple.
Her basic, flowy tank top allows for breathing room on heated summer days and is great to pair with a maxi skirt, boyfriend jeans or bold printed shorts. As for her denim shorts, it doesn’t get simpler than that. A staple for the summer, denim shorts are a go-to item of clothing. They’re easy to pair with literally anything and come in a variety of styles and washes from ripped to cuffed and light to dark washes. Lastly, who doesn’t love a good pair of Converse? I must say, I’ve been in love with white Converse for forever. I think the pop of white pulls this Fashionista’s outfit together. Although her outfit is very simple, it is great for the weekend and doesn’t look as if she just threw on random pieces.
One Simple Change: To take this outfit from the weekend to traveling on a plane, try adding a light sweater or cardigan to combat the cold air that usually circulates on airplanes.
