Imagine a day out with friends followed by an evening date night with your boy, but you don’t have time to change your outfit in between the two events. What would you decide to wear for the day?
I came across a Fashionista, who paired the right accessories with her look to make it work from day to night to wear for both events! She’s dressed to kill in this two-piece matching stripe set with an asymmetrical triangle detail on the skirt. This knit set keeps the look casual and comfortable, but when accessorized the right way can switch it up to a formal look.
As a main focal point, she wears a silver heart shaped necklace with a “M” detail on the front (If you didn’t already guess it, her name starts with the letter M). The shine of the silver creates a pop of metallic detail, making you look up at her face. To match her necklace, this Fashionista chose to pair two Alex and Ani bracelets with a watch on her wrist, again, all in silver detail. These accessorizes are a perfect addition to the look without taking away from the main detail of the stripes in the two-piece.
She kept it cool and casual when it came to her shoes. Wearing a simple black flip flop, this Fashionista gave herself room to add some color with her nail polish. The white on her fingernails is a nice complement to the white in her two-piece, but adding a bright red color on her toenails gave the look that pop of color to contrast all of the light tones in the overall look.
This Fashionista was accessorized for the first part of her day when out with friends. For the evening out, I would add on a leather jacket and replace the flip flops with a sleek white heel (which this Fashionista had with her for later) to change the mood from casual to formal.
How To: Find a two-piece set that make you feel confident and is comfortable enough to wear around all day. Then choose accessories that will complement the look, but will bring some contrast and pop to it as well. Make sure to have a change of shoes or more add-ons with you to enhance to the look as the day turns to night.
