Welcome back and Happy Friday! I cannot believe it’s already July. I am still recovering from my three day weekend. How many times can I unconsciously hit the snooze button on my alarm? Get it together, girl, get it together (clap clap)! On that note, I’ve become quite fond of the playsuits hanging in my closet. Some may call them rompers, jumpsuits or playsuits; whatever floats your boat. I’ll take a one piece over two any day.
From cotton to lyocell and print to denim, playsuits are a major trend year round. I find playsuits to be a necessity during the summer. Between blazing temperatures and unexpected summer showers this staple piece will keep you calm, cool and collected. My favorite playsuits are from Forever 21. They have tons of patterns, textures, colors, V-necks, scoop necks and sleeveless that are all within a college budget. I must admit that the sizes go quick and hardly restock, bummer! So, I have searched the internet high and low for very affordable and cute playsuits. Just in time for my San Juan vacation!
ASOS has a great selection. You can hit the “catwalk” option and watch the outfit come to life. Here are a few trending styles: ’70s vibe, crochet-chic, paisley print and little black playsuit. Those styles are all under 60 dollars! Did you know ASOS gives college students 10 percent off? Take a few moments to sign up, you’ll thank me later.
There are tons of ways to wear a playsuit like this Fashionista. This playsuit has a unique Aztec pattern and a V-neck line with gorgeous shades of red, cream and light blue. The stone chocker and silver rings complement the playsuits pattern and hues. To top it off, how cute are these lace-up booties? It is the perfect heel to wear all day. The fringe purse and top knot hairstyle ties the outfit together; perfect for a summer festival!
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Go on a mission to purchase some playsuits. Select a few that are patterned, textured, solid and cutout. You can reuse them several times by styling with accessories, kimonos, jackets and different shoes.”
