Do you ever wake up in the morning and realize you are tired of your look and want to make a drastic change to it? If you are like me, you wake up like this every morning. Unlike most people, I love change. That is something that I love about clothes, makeup and hair dye. By making something slightly different in a look that you have worn before, you can easily change your appearance. For instance, dyeing your hair a different color, adding a bold lip or even replacing a jean jacket with a leather one.
Summer is usually the time where you see dramatic hair color changes, whether it be a full head of color or a variety of different colored strands. You can usually spot these crazy hairstyles at music festivals like Coachella or EDC. In fact, there are several celebrities that have now been seen sporting this trend not only to well known music festivals but also on the red carpet. Kylie Jenner is one of the many that enjoy changing their look quite frequently. Actually, this Fashionista happened to dye her hair the same color as Kylie Jenner’s hair is now (which is a light blue-green color).
I found this Fashionista sporting the colored hair trend on campus and just had to stop her. Although the pictures don’t do it justice, her hair was a light blue-green and I was quickly reminded of the time I dyed the ends of my hair hot pink in high school (“the good ole days”). This Fashionista decided to wear a cute floral maxi skirt and crop top combo with a stylish pair of braided sandals. A patterned cross body purse, layered necklaces and stackable bracelets are the perfect accessories to add to this look.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To recreate this Fashionistas look is quite simple actually. Stop by your local beauty store and grab a box of temporary hair dye, unless you want to be really brave and get the permanent one. But if you are a wimp like me, you can go for the hair chalk instead. This Fashionista added a bold lip and a light smokey eye with black eye liner on her top lid.
