Life is not black and white, although my wardrobe is definitely an exception to this rule. I love color, but more often than not you will find me in the basics. This week I really felt like expressing my simple sophisticated side. I am drawn to the Victorian style that is on trend right now, but at the same time like to keep a bohemian twist on things. Badgley Mischka inspired me with their 2015 pre-fall collection. The collection was filled with ball gowns and more mature style, but sometimes I cannot resist shopping in the women’s section at Macy’s.
In this specific collection I was inspired by the designers only look that was not overly formal: The Gaucho 2.0 as I like to call it. When I saw the black gauchos in the Free People section at Macy’s, I second-guessed whether or not to purchase them. When gauchos come to mind I think of my fourth grade self wearing jersey material with a roll over waistband. It took 20 seconds of courage to grab these pants off the rack and try them on, but once I did, I fell in love. They are the most comfortable and versatile pants I own.
The model is wearing black tights and shoes, but it is still summer, so I ixnayed the tights and put on bright white ’70s platform shoes from Urban Outfitters. I added some color  by lining my lips with a darker lipliner than the lipstick. This ombre look can be a great beauty tip to try out for a fun night on the town. Do not forget that any look from the runway can be turned into your style as long as you give it a try it!
