Year after year my closet grows more with pretty floral and printed dresses. And I’m not the only one feeling the love! All I can notice while admiring some of the floral silhouettes seen recently on the spring and summer runways is how unique each print is! Although they all look beautiful together, each individual piece has its own character.
My look is inspired by Alexander McQueen’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. Sarah Burton executed this runway show with the Japanese culture in mind. She did an amazing job at translating her admiration with the geisha and samuri by painting the faces of the models in black frames to mimic the Japanese style. Orchid’s are duplicated throughout the show in the delicate jacquard and sheath silhouettes.
I took inspiration of these floral prints and put my own spin on it! Rompers and jumpsuits are in this summer, and if you want to rock the trend you need to get couple summer rompers in your closet as soon as possible! Perfect for the beach or a casual lunch with flats. You can also wear dressier rompers to go out wit a hot pair of heels
I paired my navy blue floral romper with a topknot bun and some fun jewelry! Because McQueen’s color story leans more towards neutral colors, I decided to pair it with my brown strappy wedges. What I like most about this look is how summery and energetic it is! The runway show wouldn’t be Alexander McQueen if it wasn’t in some way dramatic. And I wanted to mimic the abstract and unique line by trying out this summers newest trend—the topknot!
