The spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection by Chloé was chic, elegant and sophisticated. The models strutted down the runway with sleek locks and fresh faces sporting loose chiffon blouses, suede shorts and flowy dresses. The neutral color palette was broken up with pops of yellow, but it was the denim pieces in the collection that really stole the show. From long skirts and jumpsuits to dresses and rompers, Chloé showed that denim isn’t limited to the typical pants and shorts.
Inspired by the runway, I decided to trade in my skinny jeans for a denim dress. The unique hemline and modern silhouette of the dress offers a clean, casual look that is fun, but still put together. Denim dresses are also versatile pieces, allowing you to transition from summer to fall. For summer, I complemented my dress with a pair of brown suede sandals, a leather cross-body bag and a pair of fun sunglasses. For fall, throw on some warm socks and ankle boots and add a blanket scarf for the perfect cool weather look.
Regardless of the weather, the collection by Chloé shows that denim can be worn in a variety of ways, working for almost any occasion. Whether you are looking for an outfit for brunch with friends, your summer internship or the first day of classes, let denim inspire your look. Try a denim blazer for a day at the office or a denim maxi skirt for a summer music festival. While your favorite pair of jeans may still be your go-to, the spring collection by Chloé proves there are other ways to rock denim.
