I have always been makeup’s number one fan! You can ask anyone who knows me. There is a look for every occasion and I am more than willing to put on makeup for every one of them. Most days I look forward to my makeup routine. It is slowly evolving all the time. My new thing is lipstick. My life does not really call for bold lip sticks but I look for reason to wear them. My new obsession is what drew me to this Fashionista. Her wine stained lips were too perfect not to share.
First let’s talk about her outfit. She picked a black cropped halter, patterned pants and strappy black heels. All of which I would consider wardrobe essentials. That only makes this outfit more desirable. Buying these items does not mean a one-time wear. These pieces can be incorporated into so many other outfits. So experiment mixing them with items you already have or put them all together like this Fashionista for a simple but extremely trendy look.
Now for her makeup. There really isn’t anything too complicated about this look. Take away the lipstick and you have an everyday, very natural look. However, by adding a pop of color with lipstick, this Fashionista looks like a makeup guru. The best thing about lipstick is the endless color options. You will always have something to perfectly match whatever outfit you feel like rocking.
What’s on the BEAUTY BAR? To recreate this look is very simple. Use a liquid foundation and powdered bronzer for an even and natural looking skin tone. Next, use your favorite mascara to play up your eyes. My go-to mascara is Maybelline’s Mega Plush Volume. Finally the lips! Start with a lip liner to shape your lips. Fill in with a similar colored lipstick of your choice. To polish it off, you can outline your lips with a concealer and use powder to help the color last.
