A sad reality is hitting college students worldwide: summer is more than halfway done. Get ready to say goodbye to summer jobs, poolside tanning and spontaneous road trips. Soon, the only purchases that we’ll be making are for mandated book lists and backpacks.
As summer begins to wrap up, let’s look on the positive side. This great weather will still be here for quite some time while we’re busy going to class! With school coming back soon, new trends will be hitting college campuses hard. This Fashionisto was hitting SUNY New Paltz early and making waves on a sunny Sunday. He wore a gray screen T-shirt, a pair of white plaid shorts, stylish aviator sunglasses and brown flip flops. His neutral shirt and lack of accessories allowed his shorts to be the outfit’s focal point.
Plaid is a unique pattern that’s been seen in various subcultures, dress codes and on the runway. It’s versatile, comes in a variety of color combinations and can be dressed up or down. Even though it’s been notably seen in private school uniforms, don’t count it out for bringing together chic ensembles. For those who might not want to make the commitment to a totally plaid outfit, don’t overlook a splash of plaid from a cuff or a tie.
When in doubt, always remember that plaid is RAD!
