Festival style is daring, fun and eccentric. Personally, I try to use the key elements of festival style in my outfits. Today, the ‘70s trend is still going strong. It’s starting to spread out of festivals and into everyday boho attire.
Chloé is a French fashion house that’s a symbolic ’70s brand. So why not aspire from the best? From their spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I drew inspiration from this look. The blouse’s fluidity is striking. Also, its pentagon neckline gives a new light on the peasant top. Creative director Clare Waight Keller chose to pair the top with classic denim shorts. As a result, Fashionistas can effortlessly recreate this ensemble.
In my outfit, I wore my favorite pair of shorts from Public Butter, a Queen Street West vintage store with sensible prices and a great selection. My H&M peasant shirt has a similar flux and flow as the Chloé piece. The light fabric keeps me feeling free and feminine. What I love most about this blouse are the embroidery and tassels. Last but definitely not least, my accessories stayed in tune with the ‘70s Parisian effect. Taking note from Bridget Bardot, I accompanied my outfit with a black floppy hat and tortoise shell sunglasses. My Birkenstocks are the ultimate summer sandal because they combine comfort and style. Finally, I added one simplistic component to my look, wearing zero makeup. Similarly, Chloé had a bare minimum beauty look on their runway.
The feminine and bohemian details of my outfit flow on the same wavelength as the Chloé brand. With this look, you can make everyone think you’re going to the latest music festival. So, be free and try on a peasant shirt for some easy summer dressing.
