Stella McCartney is known for fun, exciting and trendy clothing. Her 2016 resort line is both appealing to the sun and ready if it rains! The theme for this runway look was Cuba. Latin essence was incorporated into each piece of clothing. The clothing consisted of dresses made for a night of Latin dancing. Throughout the line, there are bright colors and fun summer patterns. Stella’s line is very versatile for the beach or a night out!
I wanted to add something of my own to Stella McCartney’s Latin look. I am of Puerto Rican decent, so I know a thing or two about being comfortable in a dress when going out for dancing. However, with the look I chose to mimic (look 32), I wore a gaucho jumpsuit that looks like a dress, though they are actually pants! I wanted to also incorporate some type of pattern that is similar to what is used in Stella McCartney’s line. I added a belt to create an element of playfulness. I enjoyed the dresses that were in the resort line because I would wear most of the dresses in the line if I were to go on a vacation. I chose to not wear a statement piece necklace with my outfit because the patterns and the consistency of the jumpsuit spoke for themselves. So, I went another route and wore a simple gold necklace. To make the outfit look more “beachy,” I wore gladiator sandals. The sandals can be worn for dancing or the beach!
Get My Look: 1. A gaucho jumpsuit. 2. A simple necklace. 3. Gladiator sandals.
