STYLE GURU STYLE: Feelin' The Fringe

I always love catching up on the current trends and even fashion trends for the upcoming seasons. Sometimes I like to incorporate upcoming trends into my current looks. Lately I have been obsessing over the Tom Ford fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The collection is filled with everything from ’70s-inspired color palettes and prints to neutral color tones, fringe and simple A-line silhouettes. From the second I saw Gigi Hadid walk in that fringe layered skirt and Thairine Garcia strut her stuff in the fur gradient coat I was inspired. The show gave off an edgy bohemian vibe that is totally my style.

Of course as much as I wish I could strut around town in head to toe Tom Ford, right now with this college budget it can’t happen—hopefully one day. So when it was my turn to style an outfit based off of the Tom Ford show, I was excited. My goal was to stick with the neutral colors (yes I know it’s summer, I am in neon half of the time anyways). I pulled out of my closet a new pair of gray and white tie-dye gaucho pants that I just recently purchased at Macy’s (bringing the gaucho pants back, I know). I was having trouble of finding the perfect shirt for these pants until I remembered that I haven’t worn this army green Michael Kors top with fringe detail at the hem. I found this bargain at The Bon-Ton believe it or not. I thought putting these two pieces together would collaborate and form a great silhouette for my body type. The pants when in movement emulated the way a skirt would move just like in the runway show, and with the shirt it all came together. Of course, not forgetting the great pair of shoes that I have on, these wooden clogs give off the perfect bohemian and casual vibe that I wanted. When it came to accessorizing I just wore whatever jewelry I was in the mood for that day that I felt went with this look, and also I added my new favorite Persol sunglasses to top it all off. Sometimes we can only imagine to be wearing what comes down the runway; turn your imagination into reality just by looking inside your closet!

Get My Look: 1. Any fringe shirt. 2. A classic pair of wedges or clogs. 3. Throwback wide-legged gaucho pants.
