During this beautiful season it is very common to see people wear lots of nice, bright neon colors or even pastels. Personally, my favorite colors to wear tend to lean more on the brighter side of the color wheel, because they bring a little more attention to any look.
All celebrities you see, whether it be performing or on the red carpet, truly tend to rock the colorful attire because it is the best way to stand out and complement certain body types. Maybe you wear dark jeans to make the hips look slimmer and a brighter color top to complement your skin tone, or vise versa. The point is, there is no lie that it has become a huge trend to be combining bright and dark colors, or even just bright colors, to any look to help one create a powerful, bold look.
Depending on where or when you’re wearing something depends on what colors you’ll choose. In New York City I spotted a flowy orange top, and I had to go up to this Fashionista. Her outfit was very cute and simple. I personally loved that she paired her top with dark high-waisted jeans rather than the typical white jeans because it truly made her stand out. I loved how she decided to accessorize with the colors gold and brown with her cross-body bag, Alex and Ani bracelets and shoes. It fit the outfit perfectly and complemented her skin and features very nicely.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t be afraid of bright colors. It helps make certain features of ours stand out. Don’t play it safe! Fashion is about being daring with colors and accessories, there is no right way to do it. Wear whatever makes you feel good!”
