Today is the day I conquer high-waisted, wide-leg pants. I’ve previously mentioned one of my goals for the summer: to try edgier clothes. This look is exactly what I meant by edgy. I have loved the look of wide-leg pants for far too long. I gathered the last bit of inspiration from alice + olivia’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear show. How stunning are her pieces?
I purchased these affordable pants back in June. Day after day, they hung limp on my clothing rack. Two months into the summer and it is finally their time to shine. The detail is mesmerizing with mirrored medallion print; kind of reminds me of hypnosis, you’ll get lost in the detail. I wore a white V-neck T-shirt and tied a side knot for a fitted look. I love the color white on any summer glow; it’s such a classic. I usually wear gold tone accessories, but lately I’m diggin’ silver tone. I’m wearing a chunky, five layer silver tone necklace. I love how each layer has a different texture! I reached for my favorite sandals from LuLu’s, the leg wrap goddess. They were a steal in price and extremely c-o-m-f-y.
I am so glad I finally wore these wide-leg pants. They were fun, comfortable and flattering. I recommend giving this look a try. Grab a few pairs in different styles and try them on in store! I know the fitting room can be a bit of a hassle, but wide-leg pants are worth it.
