Classic style can sometimes turn people away because neutral, basic colors are a big part of the look. Blacks, whites, tans and other basic colors may seem boring and lacking in expression to some people. Yet, this Fashionista’s outfit stays true to the rule of neutrals for a classic look, while presenting us with an ensemble that is classy and edgy at the same time! She chose to pair a gray and white wrap skirt with a black simple top and brown and black wedges. The detail of the skirt with the cut out in the front gives the look a focal point of interest. Pairing the skirt with a simple top allows the focus to stay on the edgy main element of the outfit. Additionally, this Fashionista chose a jean jacket for when temperatures cool down later in the evening. This is the perfect layering piece because, not only do jean jackets scream summer, but also the basic staple is tailored and timeless just like all the other elements of this outfit.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I am a big believer in ‘dress well to do well.’ When I put together a good outfit I feel more confident in my day and how productive it will be, especially for school. So wake up and put something on that you love and feel comfortable in!”
