One of my favorite parts about the seasons changing is changing up my makeup in accordance. In the fall and winter, I tend to gravitate toward matte skin, a heavier contour, darker eye makeup and a dark lip color. However, in the summer, I like to keep everything fresh and fun with more minimalistic makeup; just dewy, glowy skin, a glossy lip and bright colors on the eyes. This Fashionista’s makeup look epitomizes that.
The best and trendiest way to revamp your makeup for the summertime is a neon eyeliner, either on the top or bottom lash line. This Fashionista chose to do an electric blue lining her upper lashes, and it looks amazing! This could be a scary move for some people, but the key to rocking bright eyeliner is keeping the rest of your makeup simple just like she is! In addition to the eyeliner, she’s wearing just a little bit of mascara, eyebrow product (on fleek may I add) and BB cream to even out her skin tone. The eyeliner is the focus of the look and if the rest of the face wasn’t simple, it would be way too much.
I also wouldn’t recommend pairing this bright makeup look with too busy of an outfit either. This Fashionista’s outfit is just plain enough to complement the makeup, but still cute and trendy. She’s wearing a simple heather gray T-shirt dress with black trim, some basic black chunky sandals, a watch and some dainty silver bracelets and a statement ring to add a little more interest.
