Ganni’s spring 2016 line proved the designer as a fashion force to be reckoned with. Copenhagen fashion week was no match for the understated cool vibe this brand served down the runway. There was one look in particular that caught my attention. This week, I put my own twist on a laid back style. A thin button-up shirt with much ease to feel the summer breeze and a pair of tailored shorts. Easygoing and carefree. This happens to be very similar to how I plan to approach any painfully long research papers this coming semester. The melody of “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley is ringing in my ears already.
I’d like to rave about the accessories I’m wearing first. My chunky wedges in particular. Who caught the creative bug and decided to cut out the entire middle part of a wedge heel? Cupid shoe brand outdid themselves with these sandals. The tropical print on the straps are perfect for summer! My rose gold colored shades are Jessica Simpson and the bracelets I picked up thrifting.
I love all things snake print. So when I came across this bright teal book bag from Mi Pack, I had to have it! To my surprise, it’s very durable. I’ve been hauling my books around campus in it for a year now! To keep up with the current denim trend, I buttoned up a lightly bleached crop top. The champagne shorts were designed by one of America’s favorite pop stars, Jennifer Lopez. They leave me just enough wiggle room to run to class! Fall semester is just weeks away and preparing for it can be stressful. Do yourself a favor, and loosen up a little!
Get My Look: 1. Tailored shorts. 2. Button-up shirt. 3. Funky book bag.
