I love the ’70s look of the season. The trend gained traction in spring 2015, as seen here at Saint Laurent, and pretty much held its staying power through the summer. The look was quite popular at music festivals like Coachella thanks to celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens, who has always channeled ’70s boho at this festival for years. This past year, Kendall Jenner was seen wearing the look at Coachella, but has recently been channeling it into everyday wear.
Flare pants reminiscent of bell bottoms. off the shoulder tops and fringe are some of the staples that you see. I have fallen in love with flare pants; I currently own three pairs with the intention of buying more before the summer season is over. My only complaint is that stores don’t make sizes that are short enough for us short people. Other than that, they super comfy and come in all sorts of fab colors and designs.
Now, this flirty floral dress really put me in the ’70s groove. Its babydoll top and short length made me feel a little like Marcia Brady. The slight V-neckline made it modern like the plunging neckline showcased at Saint Laurent. I paired it with some sky high wedges, round and dangly earrings and a long moon stone necklace. The look is not complete without winged liner.
Get My Look: 1. Floral dress. 2. Wedge sandals. 3. Winged eyeliner.
