White is a big trend in Jill Stuart’s resort 2016 fashion show. She had it all from white dresses, white skirts and pants. Something particularly interesting in this runway show is there were numerous all-white outfits; this is what initially caught my attention. There is no better time to wear white than the summer; it is light and bright and helps bring out the tan you’ve been working on for the last few months.
I chose to focus on look 11Â with my recreation. While I am not daring enough to do an all-white outfit, I am currently super into white jeans. So as opposed to pairing loose white trousers with a flowy blouse, I chose a pair of classic white skinny jeans. To take inspiration from the rest of the collection, I paired my white jeans with a light colored, flower printed blouse. In contrast to look 11, which paired the white pants with a dark colored blouse, I thought the light colors would work better for summer while also sticking to the light and bright theme that is seen throughout this runway show.
This runway show did not showcase any jewelry and everything was kept very simple, but I chose to add in some accessories. I kept the jewelry simple with a few gold bangles and simple rings. I decided to wear a necklace with a pop of color just to add something different to the look. I am wearing a pair of beige and gold sandals that are simple and resort-ready, just like this collection. I finished off my outfit with a simple shoulder bag, tying in the color from my shoes.
