I have always been drawn to clothes from stores like J-Crew, Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren. I have probably been over-dressed on many occasions. I have always been told that I dress “preppy.” I love it though, I love bold colors mixed with neutrals, I love skirts, I love wedges and almost anything feminine.
Ralph Lauren’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection showcased some of my favorite playful ways to dress. Almost all of his looks have a neutral piece in them, which if you’ve read my previous articles you would know that I love neutrals. He adds bright and vibrant colors to many of the designs. I love that he adds simple accessories to most of the outfits, either a hat or a fun purse.
In my outfit I, of course, had to wear something neutral. I wore a Victoria’s Secret PINK top in a light grey color. It is a very simple top that can be dressed up or down easily. I paired it with a bright blue skater skirt. I’ve had this skirt for so long and I absolutely love it. I find that I can pair so many items with this skirt and I can wear it for almost any semi-casual occasion.
I do not tend to add a ton of accessories or jewelry into my daily outfits. With this outfit I chose a eyelet style, pointed toe flat in a light brown. But, for this outfit I did want at least one more pop of color, so I added this light pink necklace, and I couldn’t love the two colors more together.
