Let’s face the facts—summer is essentially almost over. The days of lying on the beach with no worries in the world is about to come to a close. It’s back to reality and responsibility.
Personally, I am a beach girl at heart, but one thing I look forward to when the school year starts is fall fashion. There is nothing better than a cool day in October when you can finally wear your new pair of riding boots that you bought on sale during the summer with dark wash jeans and a light sweater.
While I was looking for some inspiration for new pieces for my fall wardrobe I stumbled upon 3.1 Phillip Lim’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection and I instantly fell in love. It is filled with deep reds, gray and black pieces. I particularly loved look 16. Model Fia Ljungstrom is rocking a gray sweater and a red pencil leather skirt paired with gorgeous black booties and a black purse to match.
To emulate this look, I chose a tan sweater with black polka-dots, a black leather skater skirt paired with black pumps. I also chose to accessorize the look with a black gold chained purse from Henri Bendel.
It’s tough deciding what to wear when going out in the fall because of the weather change. No girl wants to be carrying a jacket around all night long. This look is perfect for fall because you will not be freezing when you are outside trying to decide where to go for the night.
