While recently scanning clothing racks filled with bright flower patterns and fun polka-dots, my eyes darted to a simple black and white striped dress. For some reason, my mind believes that I can’t buy enough striped tanks or dresses, so my collection continues to expand. Maybe it’s the fact that you can do so much with the basic pattern and create heaps of different looks. From adding a plain scarf and sandals for a casual day look, to adding wedges and a fun statement necklace, having a simple black and white striped dress is a must for my closet.
I had the great fortune of shopping in the beautiful NYC recently, so I stopped into Brandy Melville. It has become a tradition to shop there whenever I am in the city. On my recent excursion, I came across this black and white striped dress. While I thought to myself, “I’m pretty sure I have something exactly like this at home,” I still ended up at the register purchasing this fun and lightweight dress and spritzing myself with the Chanel perfume they have available.
I don’t regret my decision at all and love the classic and original style! Designer Whitney Pozgay can relate to my love of the stripes as seen in her spring 2014 ready-to-wear line. Her line features a black and white striped set similar to mine, as well as a variety of different sizes and colors. I fell in love with the first picture featuring a larger striped white and taupe dress. If the dress was a mini, it would be in my closet in no time.
