You can simply never go wrong with a black and white ensemble. Not only is black and white totally timeless, but you can wear these pieces over and over again because people won’t notice if you repeat outfits. Adding a touch of color like I did with my hot pink toes also spices this look up and will make you look simply excellent.
This look was inspired by kate spade spring 2015 ready-to-wear. Her outfits are simple, yet fun and girly. She also likes to add a pop of color here and there to make her looks stand out.
Black and white is definitely a staple for kate spade. Some of her ensembles are straight up all-black and white accompanied by a colored handbag or hat. She also likes to mix stripes with bursts of hot pink flowers to keep her outfits fun and girly.
Fun sunglasses are also an essential part of kate spade’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear. My cat-eye sunglasses in this look are girly while also remaining somewhat sassy and confident. kate spade loves to add bold sunglasses to her outfits as a simple statement of confidence.
kate spade is also minimal with accessories. Her outfits are so bold that usually the handbag is the main accessory. My handbag was very bold, so I only added a simple Marc by Marc Jacobs watch to my outfit, along with tiny shiny heart-outlined earrings. These didn’t detract away from my busy shirt or bold bag, and only added to my classic black and white look.
The shoes kate spade chooses to pair with her ready-to-wear line are a little clunkier than my simple thong sandals, however they still aim to keep the attention on my mixed patterns and continue the black and white theme. The vibrant hot pink of my toes also adds a pop of color that gives this outfit some life.
