Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Meghann Morrow and I am a freshman at Kent State University interning with CollegeFashionista for the very first time and I couldn’t be more excited to share with you what fashion means to me. I hope to bring my classic New Yorker style to Kent State this fall with aspirations of majoring in Magazine Journalism with a focus on fashion and pop culture.
In my spare time, you can find me belting out lyrics to pop chart toppers, or sitting on my couch watching Grey’s Anatomy. Because really, what woman hasn’t pretended they were Dr. Meredith Grey at one point or another? For a hometown Ohioan, I feel as though I was always destined to live in a city. Living out of a box-like studio apartment and chowing down on asian takeout pretty much sounds like a dream come true if you ask me. My style, on the other hand, can be described as classy, clean cut and simple. The littlest details can go a long way when you add a great statement necklace, a pair of suede booties, or a burgundy lipstick. Sometimes I even opt for the classic matte nude shade; 1993 by Urban Decay is my favorite. If you were to take a look inside my closet, you would find only a select few colors such as your basic neutrals, black and a pop of pastels.
My go-to outfit would be a pair of black skinny jeans, tall black boots, a faux fur vest and my favorite: a pair of gold hoop earrings. Although it is still much too hot to be wearing boots and vests, during the dreadful and hot last few weeks of summer, I like to opt for an amped up day to night look which usually consists of a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, complemented by a pair of nude pumps and an off-white blazer. To top it off, I might add a pair of classic cat-eye sunglasses.  I’m no Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid but I can only hope to inspire others by setting fashion trends through my personality and admiration for the fashion industry! I can’t wait to share my passion with you all.
