Hello, hello! I’m back for my second semester with CollegeFashionista and I can’t wait to share more fashionable looks with you from sunny San Diego. I officially completed the awkward freshman year of college and I’m ready to take on the next school year as a more experienced and (hopefully!) more stylish sophomore.
I love that CollegeFashionista provides a creative outlet for me to discuss fashion and trends with others who are interested in fashion and writing as well. University of California, San Diego is definitely a STEM-focused school and it can be hard for others to understand my interests in fashion and journalism. I’m still on my journey of figuring out how I want to spend the rest of my life and CollegeFashionista is a great way for me to do what I enjoy and learn more about the world of blogging and fashion.
I would describe my style as comfortable but put-together. I do my best to avoid looking sloppy but how I feel really makes or breaks an outfit for me. My style changes from year to year, but I realize that comfort is what sticks with me. I recognize that this is a vague description but I really just love clothes and I always try to keep an open mind with new styles, colors and textures. The great thing about fashion is that it’s constantly both evolving and reversing. What can you say? I really enjoy being a part of that.
In the look I chose for this post, I am wearing a striped off-the-shoulder top that I love for the summer but I know would look great in the fall. I paired it with my favorite high-waisted denim pants and some strappy black sandals. The pants balance out the cropped top and lengthen my legs. The simple shoes are a great way to look stylish but still stay comfortable in the one inch wedge.
With only a couple weeks of summer break left, I’m pumped to start school again and wear all my favorite fall looks. You’ll definitely catch me sporting my burnt sienna bralette top and black chelsea boots way too much with absolutely no regrets. See ya on the flip side!
