Hey hey hey cutie!
Welcome to my fifth CollegeFashionista STYLE GURU BIO! My name is Masoma and I’m a junior (wow so crazy to say) at The University of Pennsylvania. I’ve been writing for CollegeFashionista since the second semester of my freshman year however this summer I solely focused on CollegeFashionista’s YouTube Channel as I had two other internships as well. After classes ended in the spring, I jumped on the next plane to Los Angeles. Six hours and three overweight bags later, I arrived in L.A. to live, explore, discover and conquer the summer.
For three months I lived in Hollywood, on the iconic Sunset Boulevard and interned at a fashion PR showroom as well as a YouTube network. I met some of the most amazing people, worked with some dope girls and even rubbed elbows with some of my style icons: Ugo Mozie, Lindsay Albanese and the Song sisters, Aimee and Dani Song! But as you can imagine, the L.A. fashion game was extremely different than Philadelphia’s and I definitely had to keep my street-style up to par at all times. The style in L.A. has now 100 percent influenced my current style and even this fun look above.
Today my style is a combination of boho-chic, L.A. streets, every male I meet and a bunch of black and white! Defining it is just suppressing creativity so instead, just follow my Instagram (IamMasIma), YouTube (TheFashionPassport) or my CollegeFashionista posts to see my current obsessions.  At the moment I’m loving ’70s fringe. I mean, come on, isn’t this jacket insane! It adds so much character and life into any ensemble and I wanted to match the gorgeous suede with my black suede booties. Who said you can’t wear brown and black? I paired those two statement pieces with a simple crisp and textured white V-neck and some distressed jean shorts, a little black bandana—oh and of course my signature, some fun shades.
So, thats a bit about me and my summer in a nutshell. I’m so grateful for CollegeFashionista because this platform allows me to express, inspire and get inspired by everyone in the community! I hope you guys stay along for the incredible fashion journey that is to come and have a RAD semester!
