Welcome Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I’m Jordyn York and originally hail from the United States of America. After finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Retail Merchandising & Product Development at Florida State University, I went into the corporate buying industry. Although I loved my budding career, I felt I had missed out on the opportunity to live and study abroad. European living had been something I craved even from a very young age. After much hard work, my dreams are coming to fruition as I begin to pursue a master’s degree in International Fashion Marketing at the University of Manchester.
During studying hours, I enjoy spending time in specialty coffee shops surrounded by tranquil atmospherics with an iced macchiato in hand. Outside of the classroom, I especially enjoy indulging in my musical interests. Along with fashion, music is one of my greatest loves. You will often find me listening to an unknown indie/rock artist or in the front row singing my heart out to one of my favorite bands.
Much like Manchester, my style is heavily influenced by my musical inspirations. If I had to describe my overall style persona, I would say monochromatic and minimalistic with a strong emphasis on leather pieces. Black is a staple, rompers are my go-to, and a great jacket can make an outfit.
I am eager to showcase the epitome of Mancunian fashion through trends seen within this awe-inspiring city. Through CollegeFashionista, I hope to inspire individuals to live adventurous, music-filled and fashion-forward lifestyles!
