Good day, my fellow Fashionistas/os! I am pleased to return for my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! As a senior at Illinois State University majoring in Public Relations and Apparel Merchandising and Design, this is by far the best internship for my two passions! I am beyond stoked to bring to you the latest and greatest street styles from Illinois State University this fall!
I have been keeping busy over the summer with my position as an executive board member for the Public Relations Student Society of America. This fall, I am most excited to start helping with the Spring Fashion Show, hosted by our Apparel Merchandising and Design chapter here at school. Along with my participation in several other organizations, I keep busy with my involvement in two other internships and two part-time jobs.
I currently work as a stylist at a major retail store where I get to personally meet with people to express the newest trends and teach them how to incorporate it into their wardrobe. My daily style can best be described as minimalistic-effortless-cool-kid. I have so many activities going on daily that I find when fashion meets function, it creates a perfect equilibrium of style.
In my opinion there is no better season than fall! I am beyond ecstatic to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team for my second semester and I cannot wait to learn and grow as both a writer and fashion enthusiast. Look forward to learning more about some of the greatest fall trends like the revolution of vintage-inspired denim, free-spirit influenced pieces, revamped athletic leisure style, designer’s collections that play with proportions and the new look on joggers. Keep a look out for articles on how to dress for an interview, runway-inspired looks, beauty regimen techniques and style advice for other Fashionistas/os.
