Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos! I can’t believe my time as a summer Style Guru has ended, but I couldn’t be more excited to be a fall intern with CollegeFashionista—another semester writing articles on amazing outfits worn by even more amazing people. When I applied to be a summer Style Guru this past spring, I assumed I wouldn’t have been accepted. I figured since I was only going to be a freshman that it wouldn’t even be a possibility; there are far more experienced (and older) applicants and Style Gurus. I am so thankful I was wrong and I was able to spend the summer as an intern with CollegeFashionista! It was a RAD summer, but I cannot wait to make it an even more RAD fall semester!
Being a Style Guru has introduced me to a style of writing that I have grown to love. I have the ability to write about a passion of mine and gain fashion tips from other Fashionista’s outfits. It can’t get much better.
With the summer season slowly coming to an end, I have started to pull out my fall sweaters, but I don’t want to put my summer clothes away just yet. I paired my comfy and light sweater with my boy cut shorts from American Eagle Outfitters. They are the perfect combination of summer and fall. I also couldn’t help but wear this comfy outfit with my favorite pair of shoes. I love the versatility of every article of clothing in this outfit because I can create so many different outfits with just a few simple pieces. Being put on a college budget now has really put a damper to my shopping addiction, but I am glad I binged this summer and bought everything I thought would be necessary to stay fashionable this fall (even if my mom wasn’t happy with my bank statement).
Even though the summer has ended and the school year has begun, being a Style Guru for a second semester brightens the academic part up a bit. It gives me something to look forward to and a career as a journalist to prepare for. Here’s to another semester of seeking trendy outfits. I can’t wait to see the Fashionistas and Fashionistos I come across this fall!
