So, it’s fall again! I’m so glad to be back at school for another year and here with CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru. For those of you who don’t know, I am a student at the University of Florida. I am majoring in Economics, which sounds random when I also say that I am a pre-med student. Yes, I have a wide variety interests, but the most important one at the moment is my interest in fashion. I love clothes, jewelry, shoes and all types of accessories. Some people may not understand why fashion is so important, but it’s just as creative and necessary as art and food. The clothes we wear can say a lot about ourselves. Whether you choose to wear certain things on purpose or not, the clothes you pick reflect your personality.
I am a very weird, adventurous and sometimes very simple person. As a result, I love wearing things that other people might think are ugly because I like being different. I like trying new fashions, regardless if it’s the latest trend going around on campus. Even with that, I will always go back to wearing my basics: jeans and a T-shirt. I find fashion as a form of expression. Other people can sing, dance or paint; I can put together a pretty decent outfit. I love putting things together and pushing the limits of what others think is “cute.” I’m the friend with the closet that everyone says is perfect, but it’s not. “Clothes mean nothing until someone lives in them,” are the famous words of Marc Jacobs that I live by. As long as you have an eye for things that complement each other, well then your closet can be perfect, too.
I’m excited for another semester as a Style Guru, and I hope you are too!
