Hey Fashionistas/os! I am so happy to be back again for my second semester here at CollegeFashionista. It has been such a wonderful journey so far meeting new Fashionistas/os, getting more familiar with fashion and practicing my writing. I love hearing feedback from others that they’ve checked out recent articles of mine and love them as much as I do. It’s been a great summer, but being able to escape into a world of my own is magical: I could make an article however I want. Â I love being a part of the CollegeFashionista family, especially because I’ve come to learn that everyone shares the same passion for fashion that I do! Although Middlesex County Community College is not familiar with CollegeFashionista, having another Style Guru there who is also one of my closest friends is the coolest! We spend our Style Guru days catching up on information, going on adventures and helping each other with pictures.
When I am not attending college or writing and scouting out Fashionistas/os for an article, I am usually working. For the past three years I’ve been working at a daycare, and because I’m such a people-person this job fits me perfectly. It’s crazy to know that these little kids I take care of at my job will one day be the next step in this generation and could change the fashion world forever! Besides my job, school and CollegeFashionista, you can usually find me constantly on celebrity gossip websites, fashion websites, exploring somewhere around New Jersey/New York City or binge watching Gossip Girl, even though I’ve probably watched it over 100 times.
In my first semester of college, I found myself very overwhelmed. I felt like I didn’t fit in and my style wasn’t good enough since it was still evolving. I always asked other’s opinions and never believed in what I would put together. Stepping into my second semester, I feel more confident. With fall season soon approaching I am ready to expand. Fall fashion is the best, as you can put your own style twists, like layering or oversized pieces, on any outfit! Since it’s still summer I decided to wear my favorite high-waisted, pink cutout romper. Whenever I wear this romper I wear it with a simple bralette underneath, but this time I did things differently. Everyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with sunflowers and last year, at American Apparel I found they had sunflower patterned pieces (tanktops, skirts, leggings, bralettes, etc.) Of course, I had to buy myself sunflower things from that collection, like this sunflower tank I wore under my romper. The cutout makes a perfect visual at seeing the sunflower pattern. I covered myself with a thin matching cardigan. For shoes, I have on white bow wedges and topped off my outfit with simple Alex and Ani bracelets.
Looking forward to such a RAD semester at CollegeFashionista!
