Welcome back to school Fashionistas/os! I’m so excited to start off my second semester with CollegeFashionista. For any newer readers my name is Chastity—some of my friends call me Chas. I began my first semester with CollegeFashionista in my hometown this past summer and I am truly excited to be able to show everyone the awesome trends and styles on my campus, West Virginia University, this time around. Interning with CollegeFashionista has been an amazing experience so far. It has taken me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to find a way to express my love for writing and fashion.
Entering this school year I will be a senior majoring in Advertising with a minor in Entrepreneurship. While obsessed with the ability to be creative while working with my school’s advertising agency writing for CollegeFashionista has reminded me of my love for writing and I hope to expand on this experience. Not only has working with CollegeFashionista helped me to become a better writer but it has opened my eyes to some amazing trends and styles across the country.
So let’s get to the fun stuff—clothes! Typically, I like to gain new fashion inspirations from Tumblr, beauty guru’s on YouTube, fashion magazines and, of course, Style.com! My personal style can be described as trendy but comfortable. Nothing is worse than a cute outfit you can’t have fun in. I tend to stick to monochromatic looks but definitely will be exploring into color this coming fall. With summer coming to an end and back-to-school beginning many trends have emerged – including the t-shirt dress. I paired my dress with faux leather slip-on Vans and a simple wishbone necklace. I also wore my sheepskin backpack that can be used as a great accessory.
I am so excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista family for a second semester and I can’t wait to capture WVU through my lens. So stayed tuned for some amazing outfits!
