How’s it going, Fashionistas/os? My name is Toni Sichel and I’m starting my sophomore year at Temple University as an Advertising major. Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was writing my first STYLE GURU BIO and now I’m embarking on my second semester on the CollegeFashionista team. Writing for CollegeFashionista was such an incredible experience that I just knew I had to do it again.
Attending a city school like Temple where everyone’s style is so unique and diverse, it’s been so much fun picking out Fashionistas/os to write about. Seeing so many trendsetters around campus is awesome inspiration for looks I can incorporate into my own style. I’ve truly grown over the past year and I know my style has definitely followed suit. Something I’ve come to realize when picking out an outfit is that less is more. Simple pieces are easy to pair with and always bring out your natural features.
A black embroidered babydoll dress is always a cute and easy daytime outfit. I love dresses for early fall because although it’s hot out, you can still look trendy. For my shoes, I searched far and wide for the perfect pair of lace-up gladiator sandals. Gladiator sandals have been my recent obsession and are definitely a great staple piece to have. Following up with my simple ensemble, I accessorized with a gold necklace, a few gold Alex and Ani bangles and a plain black hat. My casual and modest style certainly works well for a normal day on campus.
