Hello everyone! My name is Kyndil Rogers and I am a Graphic Design major and I have two minors in Advertisement Design and Studio Art at Florida Southern College. This is my first semester with CollegeFashionista and I am more than excited to be able to show readers the awesome styles that the students at my school have. GO MOCS!
So here’s some more about myself: I have been taking art classes all my life. I also have been drawing and coloring since I can remember and I continue to learn more and more about the art field every day. I am a bright color painter at heart but my 2D expressions do not come out in my style. My clothes are literally opposite from my artwork. I typically navigate to black, gray, and white color tops. With the bottoms, I usually grab a pair of American Eagle Outfitters shorts and throw on Converse and walk out the door. I love wearing my flannel because it can be worn in so many ways. I get cold easily, so making sure I have a cute coverup wherever I go is a must. Also, notice I do not wear much jewelry. The only bracelet I wear is a hair tie, and that has not changed at all and probably will not. That messy bun always finds its way throughout my busy day and without my hair tie, I become lost. I am still learning what my style is. I do know I have a little bit of an edgy side. I like bold colors and not a lot of stuff going on with my looks. I go by the rule of “less is more.” I love how the new styles are bringing back old timers like the crop top and high-waisted shorts. I am also a ’90s chick. And yes, my first and most favorite concert I have been to was *N SYNC! (Can we get a reunion tour ASAP?);
I am always trying to get my life together and picking an outfit to run out the door in is the last thing I want to worry about. So my closet is filled with a lot of neutrals that are easy to mix with. I feel my best when I am wearing something soft and comfortable. The best feeling is when you are just having an overall good day because you feel great in what you are wearing.
Besides working on art projects, I do love listening to music, hanging out the beach and I also enjoy helping people. This experience will be new to me and I am ready to show off some Florida Southern style while also learning great skills I can use in my future. So wether you are going out for the weekend or strutting your stuff walking to class, I have got you covered! Take a break from watching Netflix to check out my new #RAD articles throughout this fall semester!
