I have this pair of glow-in-the-dark cactus-shaped earrings which I love, but have only worn twice. Unfortunately, there never seems to be the right occasion for them, or if there is, I can never find the perfect way to incorporate them into an outfit. I want to highlight them as the main attraction, but I don’t want to pair them with something boring and have an overall average look. When it comes to accessorizing, it’s hard to know when you’ve gone overboard, or if your look falls flat. How do you find the perfect balance? This Fashionista is the answer to all of our accessorizing woes.
My favorite part about this look is how simple each piece is alone, but how awesome they are together. Around her neck, she uses an orange scarf as an ascot, which stands out against her denim and white ensemble. Using the two tones of denim adds quirky variety to this Canadian tuxedo. Paired with checkered slip-on Vans, the blackness of her bag blends in with her outfit. At a closer look, she has taken the earring game to a new level. Her earrings are asymmetrical, one side boasting a long gold earring with a crystal, and the other side sporting small gold hoops. These go great with her subtle gold hoop septum piercing. I’m a sucker for unique sunnies, and these totally stole my heart. This retro shape and soft pink coloring add a dreamy, retro vibe to her outfit. Definitely need to snag those!
It’s all about the details, and she has definitely embraced that motto to create this casual, but killer look.
