I’m constantly scrolling through my Instagram feed or fashion blogs. Every now and then I feel a slight tinge of jealousy when I see a new post from my favorite fashion blogger and they’re outside in a bodysuit and jeans and I’ve already broken out my winter jacket. Don’t get me wrong, I do love outerwear just as much, if not more than the next person, but it’s nice to be able to throw on a fall outfit without layering your knee-length parka over it. I know everyone has experienced a time when they’ve gotten dressed and put on what they’ve believed to be the perfect outfit only to spend all day with it covered up by a jacket and blanket scarf so big that the outfit goes unnoticed. So, you better believe that while we Canadians have the chance, we break out all of our best looks. One of the biggest positives about ditching the outerwear is that you are able to show off all of the details that make the outfit because every Fashionista knows that it’s all in the details.
This Fashionista, in particular, went heavy on the small details, right down to the gold studs on her nude booties. Small and dainty jewelry is a fun and simple alternative to the bold statement jewelry that is on trend right now. With so much love for chokers right now, it’s almost as if we have forgotten all about the other accessories. The gray knit scarf gives the overall look a more laid-back and casual feel, while she makes her way through the day’s classes, not to mention the fact that it gives a little bit of added warmth. We might be experiencing some warmer-than-expected fall weather here, but the more layers the better.
